COMBINED HEAT & POWER

MEICA Consulting Engineers Ltd has been involved with the installation of two​ CHP projects. The works for these involved the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of an Anaerobic Digester, Biogas System Upgrade and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant for processing sewage sludge.

These projects are also included associated Thermal Hydrolysis and electrical system upgrades. The sites were:

• Osberstown Sludge Hub redevelopment. This was a 1MW CHP Gas/Biogas Gas Engine project.

• Ringsend WWTP Sludge Contracts. This was a 3MW CHP Gas/Biogas Gas Engine project.

MEICA Consulting Engineers Ltd provided MEICA Resident  Engineering Services including review of Contractor's Design for the project. As part of this we completed:

• Pipework check calculations

• Pipework and pipework support design review.

• Steam Boiler Design Review.

• Building Services of the Energy Centre.
