- SOLAR - WINDMILL HILL RESERVOIR | MEICA Consulting
SOLAR - WINDMILL HILL RESERVOIR MEICA Consulting Engineers have the expertise to carry out suitability assessment reports for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at various sites. To assess the feasibility of the proposed Solar PV installation, a site walkover is carried out to measure potential shading obstacles such as buildings, trees, tanks and fences. During the site walkover, suitable areas for the Solar PV array are identified which are then modelled using PV Sol 3D software. Using the quarter hour energy consumption of the plant and the modelling software, an optimal capacity for the array based on the site conditions can be identified. Using the information gathered on site, a 3D replica model of the site is generated which also estimates the shading on the panels from the surrounding obstacles which would reduce energy generation. The array location, dimensions, pitch and orientation can then be altered to ensure maximum solar energy is harnessed at the selected location. We can manage the planning application for clients throughout the entire process. For Windmill Hill Reservoir site, MEICA Consulting Engineers Ltd, were selected to provide Resident Engineering services for the Employer. Working for Nicholas O' Dwyer, our expertise in solar enabled us to fulfill our role of design review, installation site supervision and commissioning site supervision. BACK

By-product (Regulation 27) - Soil and Stone By Products - Waste Action Plan for a Circular Economy seeks to reduce the environmental and health impacts of waste and improve resource efficiency. The fundamental goal is to achieve a circular economy that avoids unnecessary waste generation and allows for the use of materials as a resource, wherever possible. This in turn minimises the requirement for the extraction of additional natural resources. By-products can play a key role in achieving this. BACK
